Volunteer With Us
Bright Star Ranch is always seeking volunteers to help with lessons, become a mentor, take care of our horses, help with special events and so much more! We are flexible with your schedule and no horse experience is necessary, although we require a volunteer training prior to any volunteer working with clients and horses. Training includes policies and procedures concerning safety and horse care as well as leading or side-walking.
We also provide service hours for volunteering at Bright Star Ranch.
We can only do our work effectively and safely with the help of our volunteer team!

Volunteers need to attend training before being scheduled for classes.
Volunteer Training will be given in order for individuals to become horse leaders and side-walkers for clients who need support with balance while riding. Once a volunteer packet has been completed, a training date will be set and volunteers must attend in order to perform these tasks.
No horse experience is necessary, but safety techniques and methods will be taught for those wishing to groom the horses and prepare them for classes and events.
Volunteers will work with our Barn Manager to learn the proper ways of maintaining the facility including cleaning, regular maintenance duties, feeding, mowing, weed-eating, etc. Other job duties include yearly stacking of hay and keeping outside areas clean.
